Teachers

Siobhan Carle-Roma, TCRG
Siobhan is the owner and primary instructor of the Carle School of Irish Dance. She founded the school in 2003 to provide Irish Dance instruction to dancers in our area. As a young dancer, she competed with the McGuire School in Binghamton and the Johnston School in Syracuse as a Championship dancer. She teaches classes in all three studios in Endicott, Horseheads, and Corning.

Bernadette Burke, TCRG
Bernadette was one of the teachers in the McGuire School of Irish Dance and has continued to teach young dancers in the Southern Tier with the Carle School.

Allyson Carle
Ally competed with the McGuire School then moved to Colorado and studied under the direction of Martin Percival (lead dancer in Lord of the Dance) as a Championship dancer. She returned to the Binghamton area to study at Binghamton University and has been teaching our students since 2007.

 

 

Chelsea Neiss
Chelsea was a student with the McGuire School, the McGuire-McDonald School, and the Carle School through the Preliminary Championship level. While a student with our school, she started teaching beginner classes and has continued to teach our students for the past several years.

 

Alyssa Gambino
Alyssa is an Open Championship dancer who attended the Petri School of Irish Dance. She is a student at Binghamton University who joined the teaching staff in the summer of 2009. She has competed as a solo competitor at the regional and national level since the age of 9 and has attended the Great Britain Championships, All Ireland Championships, All Scotland Championships, and World Championships in Belfast. She has also competed as a ceili dancer since the age of 6 and was a member of the under 9 team that won the 8-hand team competition at North American Nationals in Boston.

 

Guest Teachers

Chloe Lawlor
Chloe is visiting our school from Ireland for the summer of 2009. She has competed and placed at the World Championships since placing 5th in the 10-11 age group in 2002. She placed 5th at Worlds in 2003. Her highest place at Worlds was 2nd in 2007. She has also competed and placed high at the All Irelands, placing 7th in 2002 in the 10-11 age group and 6th in 2004 in the 12-13 age group.

Jo-Ann Carle, TCRG
Jo-Ann was one of the teachers in the McGuire School of Irish Dance. Even though she no longer lives in the Southern Tier of NY, she continues to support the Carle School by traveling to the Mid-Atlantic Oireachtas to help instruct and assist our dancers who compete there. She also is one of the organizers of the Southern Tier Feis, which she has helped to run for years.
